Hawkers and Peddlers Business Licence Application Form

All hawkers and peddlers in the City of Port Colborne must be licensed annually (By-Law 4324/160/02). This includes every person who goes from place to place (roving) or to one particular place (stationary) within the City of Port Colborne with any type of merchandise for sale or who carries and exposes samples of any goods that are to be delivered in the City afterwards. 

Please complete this form to apply for a Hawkers and Peddlers Business Licence in the City of Port Colborne.

Upon submission, a response will be sent back to you confirming that we have received your application. Once your application has been paid for and approved, you will receive your business licence by mail. Please allow 2 weeks for processing.

Payment may be made by cash, debit, credit or cheque (made payable to the City of Port Colborne). There is a 2.4% service fee for payment made by credit card (an additional $0.60-$3.60 for this licence).

Application Fees:

Hawkers and Peddlers (any stationary business selling food or non-food items OR any roving business selling only non-food items) 

   Resident - $50.00  /  Non-Resident - $125.00 

Refreshment Vehicle (any roving business selling food products)

    Manual - $25.00  /  Motorized - $150.00
